The Zentai Judo Jujitsu School has been training Silicon Valley students in the arts of judo and Danzan Ryu Jujitsu for more than twenty years. As the instructor of the Zentai School, Sensei Gearhart brings to the mat considerable enthusiasm and expertise in not only judo and Danzan Ryu Jujitsu but also Shaolin Kenpo, Tai Chi, the Gung Fu system of Praying Mantis, Hombu style Aikido, and the art of Hosinsul. After studying Seifukujitsu (Restoration Therapy) under Professor Tony Janovich, Sensei Gearhart earned his certification in this healing system, and applies this knowledge as well to his classes.
Since 1990 the local setting of the Zentai School has provided an excellent place for residents of the area to meet, study, learn, and practice Danzan Ryu Jujitsu. The school’s tradition of martial arts training to residents of the San Francisco South Bay Area was entrusted to Sensei Gearhart in 2003 when he became the instructor of the school. Sensei Gearhart’s more than twenty years’ experience in a variety of martial arts forms has ensured the Zentai Judo Jujitsu School in Los Altos continues to be an institution in the Silicon Valley community.
The Zentai Judo Jujitsu Dojo operates through the Recreation Department of the City of Los Altos, California. The Recreation Department follows a quarter system, and Zentai Judo Jujitsu Dojo classes are in session every quarter. For exact meeting dates, and to register for classes, please see the Los Altos Recreation Department website.
